I think the spec was about 30 lbs of torque.

Really? Thought it was 221? I cant seem to find my manual CD but I am pretty sure it was that or 300.

It's possible that the torque spec changed through the years. I'm just going by my 93 manual, which says 251.

I wont lie I gave it some good torque, info needs to be accurate though. Pop the cap off the rim and its right there as well.
