Rear Ocrap Handle Lights

I tried a search on this but didn't find what I was looking for.

The drivers side rear ocrap handle light in my '03 LS is acting strange. It doesn't light when I unlock the car or open the doors. If I push the button in and hold iyt, the light will stay on but if I release it, the light goes back out no matter if I have the doors open or the interior lights turned on.

Any ideas?

i'd say its a faulty button. does it still click?

Yup, it still clicks when you push it in. I may just take it apart and see if maybe there's a bad contact or something. It did it when I first bought the car back in September, for a week or so. Then it was fine for awhile until a couple weeks ago.

Loose connection, loose light, dirty contacts.. that's were I would start
