Rear shock mount Mod (pics)

I... don't remember. did my supercoupe a long time ago, and I don't know anymore.

Though, IIRC, it's a similar setup.

SC would be deffernt since the have 4 rear shocks

the t-bird shocks come with standerd stuff for mounting .

Are those new mounts you put how much were they?

T-Birds just had a single hole, at least my 85 did and my Dad's 91 SC.

I just looked at the repair manual, which I didn't think to do before I asked. It looks as you described.

I admitted I could be wrong about the SC setup.

The shocks ran me about 180. I could dig up the receipt, but I'd have to find out which box its in first.

Do you? I didn't have to modify anything. The bilsteins came with bushings and new mounts.

Ahh.. no, it's not.

Just a wrench I had lying on the floor for some odd reason... IIRC, I did the entire job with pneumatics.

Rear Shock mounts???

I have always had a rumbling sound from the rear. Especially when riding over bumps and pot holes. Someone told me to replace the shock mounts but...How do I know for sure that they are bad

ive got a sounds comin from the passenger rear only. I jsut got done a conversion kit. but when i put the new shocks on .. i didnt take the old bushings outta the mount. So when i put it all back in I came to find out that the passenger side . Is damaged? but thats where the noise is coming from. Can u take the shock out , only takin out the lower shock bolt. and the top three bolts???

Yes you don't have to seperate everything in the back to get the shock out. Just the bolts holding it.
