What is everyone using for replacement rotors? I'm getting ready to do all four corners on my 98 Continental. Just curious about what brands others prefer and have used themselves.

I think I bought premium Raybestos rotors and ceramic pads. Not one squeak from the brakes since I done them. Ceramic pads came stock on the car.

I installed AutoZone's Duralast rotors and their Gold ceramic pads in the front. They've been perfect for 2 years now. Dust is minimal and braking performance keeps up with my driving. I once had a little brake odor after a quick stop from ~ 100 but that can happen in any family sedan :D

I see they now have a Duralast Gold rotor as well but I'm not sure if they're worth twice the price. I might be tempted to try them if I was doing the job again today though.

Thanks for the replies guys. I started looking for new rotors naively thinking I could still find one or two brands of rotors that are still being made in America. That was foolish of me. Not even Motorcraft (from the info I've read over and over) makes their rotors here. All of them are made now by our quality conscious friends in the PRC. So it seems whatever brand one chooses it will have been made in China. Awsome.

Last rotors i bought were from Wagner for a 2k Buick Regal. Got them on Amazon. Very inexpensive and seemed to work well for the year I had the car after.

BigPip, That's a good price. I was looking at the Callahans before I posted this and I knew they sounded familiar. Once I googled them I realized that was the name of the brake pad shop in the movie Tommy Boy. :) The only other hits I got were from people asking about the rotor quality and a lot of posts from guys using them on their BMW's. They seemed to praise them.

That's all I could think of -- Tommy Boy?!?! Is there a guarantee on the box?! At least they have a sense of humor for their house brand.

Can't argue with the price and the quality looks good. I'd prefer slotted-only though; drilled can end up cracking if driven hard (not that anybody drives a Continental like that).
