reduced: 93-96 modified intake tubes

Wow! What a difference, this just added another 20 minutes to detailing all the places that used to be covered by that big old ugly air sucka!

Looking good Old Poop! If you haven't already, don't forget to put your wiper cowl seal back in place! Lol.

Jamie gave me a new type tube to fix up myself - Looking forward to finishing it and getting it on there! :)

nope, i can modify anyones tube who wants to send one to me, i'm all out of them and dont plan on buying anymore gen 1 mark VIII's for awhile since the parts arent selling off them.

I think its asthetic. I dont think you will see noticable gains on the dyno it will change the pitch of the intake since the silencer has been deleted.

those aren't merely "silencers".

They are to eliminate Helmholtz resonance which isn't really related to sound in this application.

They are used to eliminate the standing pressure waves in the intake track as the air acts like an accordian as the valves open and close.

The standing pressure waves "can"/"might" back flow thru the maf causing problems.

There are two on the mark 8 due to the different intake dynamics when the IMRC's are open vs closed.

The think in the fender is an actual silencer, the things on the intake tube are not.
