Removing climate control panel

How do you remove the climate control panel without breaking anything? Does this panel controll all the actuator doors and temps? I cant get mine to display the codes, nor does any of the doors operate as they are suppose to. All the fuses seem ok.
2006 Lincoln LS V8

Pull out the section with the vents and message center buttons at the top.
Pull out the trim around the ash tray and shifter.
Remove the ash tray.
Now you can get to the bolts above the radio and below the climate control.
The radio and climate control remove as one assembly. Disconnect the wires from both.
Now you can separate the radio and the climate control.
