Are Gen1 and Gen2 covers interchangeable? I ask because bill doesn't list a year.

They sell only rear + front. This can't be universal just because some have rear armrest, some don't. I think everything should be confirmed by phone.

Personally I would find someone local to make it, I haven't had the best experience with Bill at SCP.
I looked into have seats done hear in MN but the economy has killed off a lot of the small shops, the cost and time to complete was a little too much for my liking.
Fortunately I have access to a upholstery manufacture and was able to ship everything out. I can get gen2 leather in just about any color as well as standard and Napa grade leather.

Can have a local shop make better ones for about the same price. SCP sucks and their parts do not last long.

On a gen2 a full set in Nappa leather would be about 1250 shipped in the lower 48.
Much better quality than the factory and no net pockets on the back of the seat.
When I have time to put my progress thread together you will see what I mean.
I am by no means selling or want to be a interior dealer but I can help you get them if need be.

Glad I don't have dial up!

Man is this hte Superpoop version installed?? WOWZA look at the baggy a$$ seems, terrrrriibllle FIT, wow get ANYTHING else but that. napa grae is the best btw.

Quite a few of the SC guys have installed replacement leather from SCP. What I've noticed is that the final appearance really comes down to who installs them, meaning whether or not they knew what they were doing and whether or not they took the time to do it right. The pic posted above looks like somebody just slapped the covers on and called it quits.

I have a place thats $1200 shipped as well. That quote was for black high grade leather and suade where the pin hole leather would normally be.

They look like cheap crappy slap-ons! Also, you need to make sure it's REAL leather not boltaflex. My father used to own a furniture store back in the 8's - 90's. When boltaflex hit the market, he went under. He never sold the cheap stuff. He used to call it "onion skin". It's a super thin leather like material.

If I ever have my seats reupholstered I'm ditching the leather, at least for any part that touches me while I'm sitting

leather seats are the worst

I have to agree with you there... Leather on my Lariat F-150 went bad in just 4 years after owning the truck. I swapped the leather for a set of junk yard SVT-Lightning seats. They are still in the same shape they were when I bought them 3 years ago.

You can go to a local upholstery shop and get the specific panels you need replaced done only. You dont have to do the entire seat necessarily.

The other thing, You can have high wear panels, like the outside seat base panel done in a vinyl that looks like leather if you want, which will increase its wearability considerably.

I asked a local shop arround here about replacing panels. The guy i talked to has 30 years experience. He said replacing panels is easy, but that the replaced panel will NEVER match 100%. Even if you buy the exact OEM color code because the existing seats are too old and leather will have faded a little. He also said you would want to do all the seats or the new leather will easily standout from the old.

I have a sked a few places arround here and the cost to redo all the seats is way beyond SCP pricing considering you get covers for all the seats. I remember Bill saying the leather in the pics was just slapped on so he could get a picture.
