Replacing EPB actuator-motor

Apologies if I didn't dig hard enough, but I didn't see anything specifically dealing with replacing the Electronic Parking Brake actuator.

Does anyone have experience on that who can lend some advice? After much struggling I was able to get one of the mounting screws out but the other one has so little clearance (like it would hit the diff before it was fully backed out) it seems that I have to unbolt the differential and let it drop a few inches to have any hope of getting a hand up there and remove it.

I haven't removed one, but the service manual doesn't mention any need to lower the differential.

Roger that, but after spending time under there to make the attempt, I'd love to see how they advise getting it out without lowering the diff. I couldn't even get my hand up there with one of those super-compact ratcheting box end wrenches without letting the diff droop a little.
