resonator delete

when you say pinging do you mean metal to metal contact? or is it more of a crackle/raspy sound? cuz I want mine to sound more raspier and have that crackle when I let off the gas, thanks

Why do you want that crackling sound?

It seems like taking the resonators give you that cracking sound when letting the gas off, also depending on the mufflers you have on.
 
I don't know man it might be that I'm very picky and precise or that I'm just so damm neutral and in between, but I like both the deep rumble but would like it to have that crackle at the same time, don't know why, the crackle to me say's "I'm gonna kick you're a$$ !" and the deep rumble say's " I dare you to fucc with me " don't you agree?

Most people want to get rid or avoid the raspy sound, but whatever floats your boat man.

Sticking with mufflers and deleting the resonators with no x pipe will get you more raspy sound
 
reading this thread again is making me think twice about getting rid of the resonator's and putting in an x-pipe

Whats your exhaust now? Stock exhaust, resonator delete?
 
muffler delete, but its making me that if i put the flowmasters from you on, get rid of the resonators and put an x-pipe on that it might still sound raspy
 
Well the flowmasters have all that extra stuff in the mufflers so amplify the sound, so they sound louder with resonators than my magnaflows without resonators. Putting an x pipe, quiets the exhaust a little bit, i've heard, but not nearly as much as resonators.If it's a louder exhaust that you want by removing the resonators, you can just go with an aftermarket resonators. I wanted to try maybe slp's or manapacks to see how they sounded with mufflers.

Try it on with resonators first, they where loud enough with them, but if it's not enough for you them try the x-pipe or aftermaket resonators.
 
Yeah, should be. I never tried it because with resonators it was loud enough for me. Be sure to get a video of it once installed
 
just do what i did...put in electric exhaust cutouts right before the h-pipe. Then all it takes is a flip of a switch to go from a very very very loud mean sounding car back to a stock sounding car.
 
Well I'm going to do straight pipes have all my stuff they will be on tomorrow morning ill put a sound clip up if I remember
 
My exhaust system is so loud that my next door neighbor told me he doesn't set his alarm anymore...lol My car wakes him up lol.

3 inch piping all the way same parts as Drizz's setup. X pipe,magnaflow muffs with 4inch tips. I think it's the custom piping job that he did for me that makes it sound real fn mean. Some of my buddies say it has the sound of a G35 when on the highway but the roar of a mustang when I hit the gas on a dead stop...It's sounds mean..My friends swear that other drivers get all aggressive when driving next to me, it's so funny though ..good times
 
3'' pipes, WOW! You didn't loose torque on that? Sound clip?

I actually gained but it's eating to much gas...Need an intake but other than that it opened up my car ..I'll try to post a vid just so busy with work

Oh also he put in two high flow cats..maybe that's what's eating my gas....But really I have a heavy foot..now more with this exhaust. 1 speeding ticket since the install !! -_- :(

Interested in video. Mine is subtle, but not loud like what you described.

I have played with this idea back before I cut out my stock mufflers, the only reason I backed off was because of the first two reviews on the exhaust cutout at the time I was thinking of doing this, since then another review has popped up, I might just run with it here soon.. does it have that "YUCKY" sound?

I love the sounds like i said earlier ill try and get a vid up tmrw or this weekend. But anytime i drive around with the cutouts open everyone stops and stares. Its also fun to pull up to a vette or stang and then open up the exhaust and see the reaction when i drive off. but the downshifts sound good to if you like the "poppers" sound.

Everyone loves the sound of my LS around where I live, my whole street said they dont mind me flying up the street late at night and waking them up cause it sounds so good..
