On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being great shape...........I would say my bumper is about a 6.5. There are no scratches, but there are bug stains and a few rock chips. Toward the end of the summer, I plan on getting my bumper resprayed.........or wait until someone rear ends me and pushes me into someone elses car (then i can get an LSE bodykit instead).

Scale 1-10 mine is now 10, but when I bought it from the FLM dealer it was a 5, looked the guy before followed a pee-gravel truck for 3 days. So, I went back to the dealer and showed them my concern about the chips and we came to a agreement for 50/50 on painting it. Looks great now but before that he had some chip/dent reapair guy try to fix it and it just didnt look to much better. I think all he did was rub some color into the 200-300 lil rock chips I had and after one washing over half of them washed out so needless to say thats why I had mine repainted. I think it cost me $200 which is high but they did it right by fully removing the bumper and painting it, no maaco paint job here. So either grin and bear it or have it repainted.

My front bumper is about an 8. Hardly any scratches, no dried bug guts, and overall looks failry nice when it is washed.

The rear bumper is a different story. Previous owner must have traveled or just shopped a lot. There is a lot of scratches on the trunk, it seems as if bags/suitcases were in/out all the time. On top of that, the lower part of the bumper looks as if another car or some object ran up against it. I'd give the rear bumper a 6.

I try to ignore the scratches as much as I can. I bought some touch-up paint for the chips that really bothered me the most. It looks good from a distance with the touch-up, but not so good up close.

If you're bumpers are full of road debris and won't come off with a simple wash, try using a clay bar detailing kit.

Mine's a 3 :(.

Combination of my neglect (how can you take care of a front bumper?) and the previous owners.

It's inevitable on front bumper covers, they're going to get hit by bugs/stones.
