roof wrap?

so attempted this last weekend also... my mistake was ordering the cheapest vinyl i could find. results we pretty bad. talked to my tint guy who also wraps about a better quality then I purchased. the 3m 1080 was on his list...

how easy was it to wrap? more importantly, how hard was it getting the wrinkles and bubbles out?

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't fun either. I was glad to be done when I finished. Be patient, have a heat gun or hair dryer and a buddy with you. I started from front to back but after doing it I saw a video that looked like it is better to set the sheet down and squeegee from the center out. The heat helps with eliminating creases. I also tucked it under the rubber molding around the windshield and rear window.

Yup, you want two or four people. Pull tight and set down on center of roof and a 3rd or 5th person begin laying down the vinyl working way outward, if you have moonroof, open it before starting. Once you lay down the vinyl on the center behind the moonroof, you can cut out the moonroof portion and stick your body through it to squeegee down the remainder without awkwardly reaching everywhere.

It's a cool idea. I have thought about doing something similar. Time will tell.
