sct tuner is it worth it

Will they do anything for an 02 TC? I have the MM airbox but have not put it on because I understand the SCT is necessary. Just trying to wake up the TC. Any advice is appreciated.

Are you referring to the Scion TC? (Oh, sorry I meant tC). I think you are on the wrong forum for that.

I'm thinking he's referring to the torque converter. But I'm also thinking you are just being sarcastic.

Direct from fastpartsnetworks site; regarding how many times it can be used.

"The X3 Power Flash VIN locks to a single vehicle. You cannot use the device to tune a new or different vehicle until you have returned the original vehicle back to stock, which will unlock the device. You can only change the vehicles 5 times before the unit is permanently locked."

True, but it also locks on the cars Vin number. If you buy a used one that has flashed another car you have to send the tuner to SCT and pay 150.00 in order to use on your car. SCT tuners are great, got mine a month ago, cold air, cat back with Flow Masters, tuned for 93 octain.

93 octane? Where do you get that in california? Or are you using octane boosters?

only if they did not return the vehicle to stock before selling it. If they did, then it just burns one of the five locks the device can have in it's life-time
