Hello,
I am new to the forum, but I am glad that I was able to finally find a decent Lincoln (and Caddy too I guess) forum. Anyway, I need some help. I think my amplifier is going bad in my 93 Lincoln TC. I am hearing static/popping noise from my speakers. I talked to an audio technician at Best Buy, and he said that it could either be the speakers or the amp.
Well, I had new speakers installed and I am still getting the noise, so I figure that it must be the amp. I jumped in the trunk and found it, but it sure looks like it is not going to be easy to remove. The threads of the screws retaining the amp face you as one looks at them. I think I am going to have to remove the seatback to access the head of the three screws that hold the amp. My question is, how do you remove the seatback. I know how to remove the bottom portion of the rear seat, that's easy. It's just the rear seatback that is difficult to remove. Any pointers on this problem? Thanks in advance for the help.
