Seeing as how i'm unsure of just how good the factory alarm is on my 97lsc i'm looking for opinions on some type of toggle switch that i could run a ignition, fuel pump, anything wire through.

The wire would have to be around the dash or in the interour fuse box. Wire colors and locations would be great.

I have a 2 way pager system on my marquis but do not want to spend another $350 for one one the lincoln quite yet.

I thought the factory system was pretty good? If the alarm goes off, everything is disabled. If the trunk cylinder is popped, same. Ignition cylinder, same. Not to mention it has PATS. Sure you want to do a kill switch?

Other option would be a chip with multiple programs. One program can be a kill program, just turn the dial to that program and it wont start no matter what.

I allready have a tuner...... A semi-experienced theif will know how to disable our alarms. How i don't know, but flm's w/ factory alarm can be stolen. theres a way for everything, just trying to throw a curve ball.

NONE of that worked on my 95 that was stolen sunday night.
the 95's didn't have pats..though.

But I did have a switch chip with the "no start" tunes..but on the EEC IV cars the "no starts" dont mean "no start" they mean "LOS" (limited operational strategy)

They popped out the ignition and simply switched the chip to one of the other positions and drove on their merry way...

BASTARDS!

Your 400k car was stolen on sunday?

aint that the stupidest thing you ever heard???

I mean what kind of dumbass thief would steal a car with a HALF A MILLION MILES on it???

yea.. and three weeks before they broke into Tiffany(my girlfriends car) and destroyed the column, I had just gotten her car back together when they came back and stole mine...(shakes head)

When they did tiffs car, her alarm (the factory POS didn't make a PEEP)
neither when they hit my car.

no joy or help from the cops either, they dont see a "trend or pattern" from two of the same cars being hit in the same month in the same parking lot.
...."they aren't too bright.. huh".

They even went so far as to tell me and I "QUOTE".
YOUR TOWN CAR motor is too big and heaving to fit in a mustang....so no we dont think they stole your car for the motor...*shakes head*

If you had a 400k mile gen 2 then you would still have your car, since gen 1 did not have the pats system.

That blows dude, you had an epic Mark VIII going, easily the highest milleage there is. Are you going ot get another one?

walked around a Silver Frost 98 LSC yesterday, its got its share of second gen issues "including a burned out HID bulb, blend door issues and a non functioning NEON tail light".. but...it "aint all that bad".

The car is in far better shape than my 400K first gen was.

I'm "on the fence" about this 2nd gen.
It's "not a beautiful car".. but it IS a "pretty car".

Gonna need some work, but the price is right.

I might just go back up there today and pick the danged thing up.

So does anyone have a wire i can tap into to disable the fuel or ignition?
