Well go the final word today that I WILL be going to Japan. Leaving Texas in June. Right around the corner. The LS has to go. I have only owned the car for 1 year. Everthing has been put on the car in the last 10 months.

What do you guys think I can get for the LS?

Depends, When I traded in my fully modified 02, all the dealers told me 1 thing "This car is going to be hard to sell with all these modifications, because your typical Lincoln owner would not want all this stuff on there" bunch of BS. Try to get it back as much as you can to stock before trading or selling.
 
u would mroe than likely get the same for the car with and without all the mods.. i suggest selling parts/trading to get the car back to original.. u will prolly get more for it..

may i be the first to say.. i would love ur grill!! how much.. top and bottom.. i beleive i can send u my OEM grill.. or u can sell it to me and keep ur OEM if u have it.. let me now pls
 
put that on ebay. place a reserve I am sure you can get a lot.

unfortunatly, people don't like mods on cars such as lincoln, volvo, mercedes. Ebay or here is your best bet for getting money back. If not take off some of the easy to pull parts and start selling away. I just tried to sell a modded volvo, man it's not easy. If you do sell parts, we will be watching, you do have one hell of a car.

I appreciate the interest in the parts guys. My ultimate goal is to let her go for what I owe on it, to someone who's going to take good care of it.
I will definetly be getting rid of the angel eye headlights as I have another set (just painted) already. Just have to find some time to do the switch.
 
switch the tail lights with me :). I got the cash and the tail lights

also you might want to look at ebay just put a reserve for a little over what you owe and you should be fine

I tried to sell my Ls on Ebay, and it was a weird expirence! People were asking me if you would set up a payment plan with me, without a bank? People thought I would sell my 05 for $12000 I would sell it locally! Its your best bet!
 
How long will you be in Japan? I'm in France now, but that didn't stop me from holding onto my car. I'd reconsider if I were you, (assuming it's only temporary) based on all the work you've apparently put into "pimping" your ride.

Edit: But if it IS permanent... good luck getting rid of it! :D

I wouldn't consider it permanent. 3 years minimum, maybe more depending on how we like it.
I would love to keep it but don't want it just sitting around wasting away.
 
I love those wheels man, I'm supposing you would be interested in a deal on rims and tires would you?
 
My goal becomes clear, we need to start a fundraiser to send the LS to Japan.

well, let's do it this way. The trade-in value at a dealer would be right around $8500 .... unless its a stick, then its $2200 less ... add about $650 for a moonroof.

Typically, on a private party sale, you're looking at $1k to $2k over trade-in value.

This is for a bone stock car. As others have said, mods mean little to nothing if you are dealing with a trade-in. For private party, it all depends. If you find the right person on the right day with the right tastes, you could recoup some of your money. I agree with those who said just sell off the mods and return the car to stock. That will net you the most $$.
 
Its sold, 14,500 to a co-worker. There are some parts that are coming off the car. I offered them to someone. If they don't want them I will post pics and prices.
 
That's a good deal, not bad at all... Probably when you come back from Japan you will buy another LS, no?

No LS after this. Got a 1964 chevy 1/2 ton that's going to get clipped, bagged, crate motor and new paint when I get home.

Man, I could pay that kinda jingle for a V8 with much lower miles. But more power to ya! congrats!
