As far as I know it's not the bulbs that are the problem, but the reflective coating behind them, so even if this bulb is brighter than stock, you're still not going to see much difference in light output on the road.

if you are going that route then try here. it where I got mine.
it's a little better, plastic rubbing compound will help.

i wonder if mequires metal polish would clean off the reflector? i bought bulbs that are SUPPOSED to be the rightest bulbs and I've gooten my housings proffessionally cleaned. Really don't know what to do next.
