Should I unload my LS for what I owe on it?

This car is nothing but headaches lately, everything seems to be breaking - one thing after another.

I love the car, but was planning on selling it anyways, I can't afford to pay what Ford wants for parts for when this thing really starts falling apart.

Currently I owe $7000 and am seriously willing to sell it "as-is" for that much (canadian money), considering what I might have to spend on a 'safety' to maybe get $8500 on it.

Yeah it's a $1500 spread, but parts and labor will chew up alot of that anyways and it takes alot more time to fart around with getting it fixed.

At my witts end with this car, I've spent over $3000 in parts in the last 12 months on it :(.

Yea, check KBB or NADA to get an idea of what its worth. Unless you were upside down on the loan or the repairs are too much, you should be able to get something for yourself.

Owe about $7000 on it, it's a 2000 V8 Sport, about 100k miles on it.

Right now, the window regulator is broke, needs 2 wheel bearings, has had all new brakes, ball joints, a new tie rod, the steering rack is leaking a bit, the motor has developed yet another possible misfire, and God only knows what's going to go next.

My other car is almost finished getting back together after some modding over the winter, will drive that - it's paid for and hasn't/doesn't cause near the headaches or incur financial heartache.

I have a 2000 V8 also. I have 104K on mine. I have replaced several coils, valve cover gaskets, DF window regulator, transmission at 92k, fixed drain on sunroof. Now the car is acting like the tranny is messing up again but I still drive it when I have to. It has a small coolant leak. The abs, tcs, and parking brake warning lights stay on. I have it in the for sale section here for $5600 and not one person has asked about it. I think I will have to fix everything to get 7k out of it. Owning an LS is having a girlfriend where the sex is awesome but other than that she drives you insane. Sooner or later the reward isn't worth the effort.

Dump it. Consumer Reports rates the 2000 through 2001 very low, the 2002 ok, the 2003 on up low as well.
