How do you tell if they are installed? I don't see any markings along my roof so I'm guessing my LS doesn't have them. But I figured I'd ask.

the side airbag comes out of the side of the seat. ask me how i know old people cant drive.

That's the seat-mounted airbag (which is standard equipment), not the optional side-curtain airbags (which do come down from the roof). If you have the side-curtain airbags, they should be obviously marked along the roofline. I can take a picture if you want to see what it looks like, but my '05 has the side curtain airbag and it was an option. There is a little oval plastic tab that is just above the door. If i am correct this is a federal thing as far as having them marked/located whatever.SoonerLS said:

Yep, and I believe this feature was optional on 03-06 cars only. 00-02 cars don't have them even as an option.
And before anyone asks, the thingy in the background is a dealer banner for when the LS won Car of the Year in 2000. And no, you can't have it -- its mine!

ToddG - Dose your 06 dave the back-up alarm ?
Myne supposedly dose have the side curtain airbags but dosen't have that badge above the drivers door.

Who told you this? My understanding is that if your car doesn't have the Airbag badge above the front doors, you don't have it.
That's correct. It's a Federal Law that all airbags in all vehicles sold in the U.S. must be labeled.ToddG said:
It's a safety issue for when a vehicle is being repaired or recycled. You wouldn't want to be working inside a car and then cause an airbag to pop in your face because you didn't know it was there.
