My car smells like i guess fireworks after there done, but only when im really goin on it. any ideas??

like sulphur? rotten eggs? it's your catalytic converter...maybe

not rotten eggs smells like stuff burning from my engine it did sit for 2 years iv put like 8k miles on it so far so 109k on it now also got a tap from over heating donno what that is any ideas so i can get fixed with idea price lol??

my linc sat for year and a half...when i started driving it again same issue...turing high rev rotten egg smell...turns out its my cat on the passenger side casting is cracked...i'd like with it unless you know a great exhaust shop...last time i checked ford wanted $1200 for the front pipe with the cats on it...unless they can cut it out and reweld a newone in...tough spot for it...on an hard bend...i'd live with it...

maybe someone else here might know, but you could (possibly) remove the exhaust pipe at the hedder and gut the cats-if it can be done I am sure it would be tough to do, but a lot cheaper than new ones-

your problem might just be something simple, like a clogged air filter, or leaking injectors.

If you have a CE light, most likely it is a faulty 02 sensor. Thats what cured the prob for me on my 95.

yea my ce is on it goes on after like 10 min of driveing but sometimes it goes on and off if i hit the highway bumps wierd lol i just need to get 2 of them the front ones right??? Also any idea with the tapping if its a lifter how much to fix???
