I am assuming you have a v8? Since you haven't posted anything about yourself or your LS. You seem to give a lot of advice, but skip over introducing yourself. Mods if any to your LS? Sport or not? Don't be shy. Post up about yourself.

I have a v8, my father worked at the lincoln dealership and he purchased a newer ls so he gave me his old 2000, I promise to take pics once this snow melts
and I believe its a LSE or Sport, not really sure- it has alot of shiny chrome everywhere

If it has chrome, you have a base.. Pics would provide you with more of a definite answer..

base? so its a Lincoln LS Base edition? it comes with a bose stereo I think, already blew a speaker

Agreed.. I forgot about the 'ultimate'.. Mine is a base though.. 14mm ball joints and smaller sway bar..
My LS is a stock '01 V6 that I use as a daily driver. Ive done the hydraulic fan repair, valve cover gaskets and coils, replaced both fuel pumps and had an alternator go bad. With 214,000 miles it runs as good as it ever did and everything works except the CD changer in the Alpine. Looks like the next project is the Intake Manifold Tuning Valve(s).
