Hey all,
well tonight coming home I smoked a deer at about 130km/h and hit him hard enough to deploy the bags, but I still managed to continue driving for about an hour until I got it home(pretty tough cars when the get hit!)
I am in search of pass fender, headlight, hood, grill & the brow thing above it, and the signal light housing. the hood is no big deal I think I will get geno's cobra R hood. all I really need is the Fender and the grill....I will check E-bay I think Jamie might be the best source to obtain the misc bits yes?
The airbags I ain't worried about because the car still runs so I figure stich the housing closed and take out the bulb....
I want to keep the insurance company out of it because I know they will write it off.....but I will still check it out they may suprise me but I doubt it.
here be some pics
Thanks people
Adrian

hit up tda13, he has a black gen 1 passenger side fender with minor damage to the corner marker bucket, I bought the drives side for my 96.

The insurance company will write it off but you can then turn around and buy it back from them for cheap. Take their check and use it to buy parts to fix it.

Sorry to hear about your car, it sucks, I know from personal experience. A deer took my 96, but now it's in the body shop. Hopefully, by the end of the year, it will be fixed.

Good luck

I have a headlight header panel if you need one and the chome trim above the bumper.

I also have a passenger side corner light that you can have very cheap... like free...

Send me a PM if interested.

It may be worth looking at the insurance. They may total the car, but then they have to give you a check for the value. If you buy it back from them, you could easily be a grand or two ahead. I know these cars are not worth a lot, but you dont HAVE to take any "offer" they give you. If they tell you they want to total it but the buy back is to high, tell them no.

I have done this a couple times :)

Make sure you frame is not bent also. The only way I found to do this fast was to get four hydro jacks and level the car with a 2x4 across the rear to make sure its level, then across the cowl. Then try across the front fender supports. You may need equal sized blocks on each side of the fender support to raise the 2 x 4 above the fan, etc. I found that after a much lesser accident my passenger side is about 3/4" lower. I needs to go to a shop to get pulled back. For now washers are under the fender bolts to bring the fender inline with the hood.

Thanks all PM's Sent
and yeah I am going to run it over to a frame shop to get it pulled back the right front now after further digging is pushed down and in so I assume that's where the majority of the weight or his shoulder hit...but it also took out the condenser pushed a support bracket through so now I also have no AC...and black ext & black Int with no AC sucks when it's 86 degrees out it ain't fun!
Thank again LVC family!
