I couldn't tell you how long these faded speedo needles have been bothering me so tonight I finally got around to the "freshen up" of the instrument cluster.Last time i used some nail polish that was laying around after installing the white face gauges because i cant deal with the white on white but it really didnt hold the color for long and turned yellowish.
This time i used about 3 coats of actual fluorescent red needle restoration paint but after 3 coats I wasnt satisfied so i started using some clear nail polish on top/combination between the two and then cleared over a few light coats Very pleased in how they came out this time as it matches right on with the needle color for the auto meter phantoms which is what i was aiming for since i have some plans to add more phantoms.
Pics cant do it justice except the last one, but you get the idea. Cant wait to drive it again, bout time.
