anyone know of where to get a new ballast? saw the glitch one, but no activity since 2011 that i saw? is that still an option? are there new ones that arent the DC45 route? please let me know asap, ready to order it today!!

I hope your aware that these are 2 step ballast. One part works when your lights are on, and 2nd part works for your brake lights. Steves ballasts are adj for brightness.

Convert it to LED. Much less trouble and will last much longer.

BTW i found out that installing a bunch of diodes that reduce the voltage going to the DC45 transformer in the tail light circuit creates the "2 step" that everyone is looking for. its very easy to do. now when i step on the brake, the DC45 gets running voltage, while the tail is only about 7...
