Looking the replace my door speakers and eventually the woofer. Are they standard sizes and what sizes? Dors look like 5 X 7s.

Thanks,

If You have the Alpine system, I honestly do not see the need to change the door speakers. I think they rock, they are clear, and are loud.. What Really Sucks are the woofers.

Remember, They use 2 woofers ( One on each side in the Back. That cover in the middle is just a ventilation, theres no woofer there ( just a vent).

The Woofers are the size of regular speakers. They are not even Alpines, ( They Are Audiophiles and they SUCK!!!!!!

I Swapped the woofers from my 98 that had JBL WOOFERS and they had more punch ( Biggers cone, Larger magnet, less distortion).

Really, If I were you, I would find stronger set of woofers with a separate AMP, or you can put a BOx set-up back there and give it a try first before removing the door speakers.

My Opinion!!

In the case of speaker sizes, I believe the woofers are 5 X 7
The Door speakers are circular, don't know exact size though

Wierd info from Crutchfield

I get plenty of bass with that sometimes annoying rattle. I've got some 6X9s I can use. The door speakers are single cones with no tweeters attached. I wanted to put in some 2 ways. I took off the door panels and they look like 5X7s. Crutchfield says 6 1/2 rounds will fit but I don't see it. Crutchfield also says the rear deck speakers are 6X8. Huh?

So You have the regular system then, I don't think that the rear should be much different since they don't sound any stronger. And that te rear are only door speakers too.

Though it's possible, in most cases that is true, that the back is bigger, I've taken off the rear door panel s but I never looked at the speaker.
