If they would drop the speed limit back to 55 MPH the price of gas would drop. Supply and demand. You may not like it but it worked in 1978 and it would work again.Most states still have all there 55 mph signs .
In 1978 they were fulling tanks in empty gas stations because they had no where to go with it.
Take and test your self . Drive your car at 55 mph for 1 week and see the difference it makes. Now you take the whole country and do it the gas prices will drop.
Sure theres gonna be people that are not gonna drive 55 and they will pay more in fines.
I know I drove my car at 55 on freeways and got 29.7 MPG My son has a Mazda that don't do that good. I have written my elected officials and purpose a 55 mph Limit .And so should you.
