I'll make this short and to the point.

Replacing my factory 17"s with TSW Crofts. I want to stagger the setup with 19x8 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back, offset is 45mm.

Is the back too wide? With 35 profile tires will I rub? Can I still install springs with those wheels and a staggered fitment?

I'd like to use Sprint for the extra .75" but I am willing to use the Eibachs if it's my only option.

End result should be similar to this:

The rears won't work. You need at least 55 mm offset for the 9.5" wheel to fit in the back. I have 18x9.5 with 60mm offset with 285/35/18 tires, fits perfect. I could probably use maximum of 5mm spacer until it starts rubbing the outside lip. with 5mm spacer my rear wheel will be at 55mm offset.

I know you wanted a second opinion.... but I told you the rears wouldn't fit... and you better check TSW's web site, because they don't make an offset or bolt pattern that fits our cars...

your distributor is playing you

Great info HyeLife, is it possible to machine the wheels to a different offset? I'm sure all of you are aware of how difficult it is to find nice looking aftermarket wheels that fit the LS so I'm really trying to make these work since the bolt pattern is correct and the offset matches up.

If it's just absolutely not possible I can always run 19x8 in the back as well.

What...

Well yeah, it is pretty contradictory but....In 19x8 with that offset it's fine. The numbers say it should work in 19x9.5 too...but no real way to find out other than dropping over 500 bucks and trying.

I was reading after the post that some shops can machine the hub to increase the offset but I'd also be bringing the spokes closer to the caliper.

Either way it looks like I'm just going to wind up with 19x8 all the way around. Slightly dissapointed.

Make sure you let them know it is a 5 X 108 bolt pattern. TSW's website says they don't make anything for a LS, Thunderbird or Volvo S60 all of which share our bolt pattern...

This specific wheel is discoutinued. That's why you won't find the pattern, it's true they don't make it in any of the current wheels. I am positive these will fit as they are inventory from the vendor.

However, it is very nice to see concern from each of you trying to make sure I don' get screwed. Thanks for all the help guys.

Awesome man- be sure to post some pictures when you get them cause those rims will look really good on an LS.

Kdirt has a set of staggers rims. PM him. I am sure he will tell you what you need to know.
