I uploaded some pics of the trunk setup I'm going with in the LS. They are viewable in my gallery (http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/vbpicgallery.php?do=hall&u=7684). You'll also notice a couple pictures of my show car that I've been working on for what feels like ever.

I actually pulled that amp out of 3 feet of water after it literally sat there for over 8 months and threw it in my garage. Today on a hunch I dug it out, cleaned it off and hooked it up, low and behold, it works like a charm, still. It was in bad looking shape though so I sanded off all the paint and smoothed the metal surface out to be a little more pleasing.

As for the trunk enclosure, I'm wrapping it all with padding and black leather. The 2 smaller peices that are angled with have embossed Lincoln logos. I will also be adding a couple red neons to make it all light up.

Please, let me know what you think.

It will look good when you finish it up! I have been trying to decide what kind of car your show car is. Is it an eclipse or like a mx6 or somthing

Thanks guys. I think the trunk is going to look pretty nice once it's done. It's hard for me coming from the tuner scene and buying a luxury car. I want to keep this thing as a luxury ride but still customize it, making it alot harder on the decisions.

As for the show car, it's actually a 98 Ford Escort ZX2 with s2000 tail light conversion, roof chopped off, one-off widebody, fully molded kit, etc etc etc. It's a shame, a 1998 with only 40,000 miles and it hasn't seen a road surface in over 2 years.

OMG that would have been my absolute last guess. An escort, can I ask y an escort. I give you mad props thats the baddest escort ive seen. What you got let to do to it and what are your plans for the ls. I can see lambo doors in your future.

WOW that was a shock! the headlights now make sense I should have known better LOL. keep us posted on your show car!

The plans for the ZX2 are to weld the doors shut, redo the entire rear end so it has the side profile similar to a Lotus Elise. Finish the widebody, finish the fiberglass interior, bigger rims, more engine work and start on the stereo finally.

As for the LS I'd like to keep it simple, TV's, white LED lights through the inside, HIDs, LED tails, alot of smaller luxury type things, nothing major. Integrated bluetooth and a kuda holder are next on the list, maybe some woodgrain but I haven't seen a kit that goes with the THX/NAV unit. I'd also like to try and get massagers built into both the front and rear seats. If anyone else has ideas, please, I'm all ears.

Oh, and as for why a ZX2, I don't really know. I owned one before this and just loved the body style after a kit. When I wrecked the first one I told myself I'd buy another someday and I was going to just keep it as a project for a while and that's what happened.

About welding the doors shut umm you gonna "Dukes of Hazard" style get in or partialy cut the doors open kind of like a jeep

Neither, just push it on and off the trailer. But if I ever did drive it, yea, just Dukes of Hazard it.

show car is cool. only thing weird 2 me is the angled license plate mold. i've seen a few like that...I don't get it.

get it right guys, it Dukes of Hazzard with two Z's. I take that stuff seriously:cool:
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw

Yes, MDF. I picked up the material to wrap it today, now if I can find my staple gun I'll get to it.

for the top area... are u just going to attach the material to the edge or do u plan on making a top to that box?

Haha, I never even noticed the drill. BTW, it's orange. I'm going to build a top to the box, eventually.

Can you lay out the measurements. Im gonna start mine sat. and it would be alot earier to get measurement in advance. Also has anyone removed the center console plastic to make it "ported" into the car. I know mines ALOT louder with the seats down. Also would building a setup like this prevent it from goin into the cabin. Thanks in advance.

yeh definitely get some pictures of the finished product...it looks great so far!!! thats kind of how i am wanting to set mine up also so pictures and dimensions would be awesome!! can't wait to see it!!
