my 94 mark has about 114k on it finally. i figured that the front end probably needs to be gone through. but it started to shake bad (steeringwheel) when i step on the brakes, the harder i step the worse it is. anybody that can offer help would be greatly appriciated. need to get it fixed, my daughter cruizez with me to much to have my vechile unsafe.

my 95 did the same thing new brakes and rotors and problem solved these cars are famous for warped rotors if you dont torque them the rite way they will warp

Yep same thing here, just got my rotors and pad from R1Concepts on Thursday and if the rain lets up today i will be putting them on

I'd put my money into some new rotors... then I'd go ahead and do, upper control arms, lower ball joints, inner and outter tie rod ends. And take a good look at all your bushings while you're under there!

I put mine on two week ago. I love them.

Don't forget to add anti-squeak compound and use new bolts on the caliper bracket!

Staying on topic:

CBecker, I know it's been 10 days since you posted this, but I wanted to warn you.

I recently changed my brake pads without doing anything to the rotors. My steering wheel wobbled back and forth when I braked. Also, my brakes squeaked really bad. The pads had a bunch of meat left on them, but I was going nuts from the noise. After replacing the pads with some $13 cheap-O's from Autozone, the noise AND the wobble disappeared!! Like friggin magic!!!

Try some new pads before shelling out a bunch of money for rotors!
