2002 LS V6, I've had this coolant leak for about 3 days now and I can't find it. I've looked and felt hoses with no luck. It's leaking on the passenger side in the front, looks like it's just behind the headlight. It's not constant though, sometimes it drips and sometimes it doesn't. I use from a half to 3/4 gallon of coolant a day. Does anyone have an idea what's going on or where it could be leaking from?

Probably the radiator, but there are other possibilities too (like the DCCV).

Most likely is. Try opening the hood and look at the plastic piece of the radiator, in front of where the upper radiator hose attaches at the back. Mine was cracked right there and wasn't visible till one day i saw coolant on my front bumper next to passenger head light.

Thanks for your help joegr and fudge12, the other day it got a little hot and coolant was on the area under the hood behind the grill when I raised the hood. I was afraid it was gonna be the radiator.

most likely radiator side tank is cracked and you'll need to replace the radiator (tough job) GL

Go from the bottom if you do it yourself it's it's not that hard just a lot of things you have to unbolt off it first.
What will make it a tough job is if you try to swap it from the top.

Are you talking about replacing the DCCV?

So you're saying the radiator comes out the bottom???? I'm a bit confused now.

That is correct. First of all, you need to determine where the leak is but if it's the radiator it would be 10xs easier for you or whoever is performing the job to remove it from the bottom.

ok, thanks jjcool00 and blueberryyum02. I believe someone else will be doing this job!

Well I found my leak. New radiator with install, 315 bux.

$315 isn't too bad considering the amount of work involved. Glad it all worked out for you.
