subwoofer install

I am pushing my 2 Alpine 12's with a 1200 watt Profile amp (Pretty cheap but works very well). It slams. I like the fact that even when I have it full blast there are no rattles. My Eldorado rattled and buzzed like no other when I had it cranked.

I have to agree with buying an MP3 CD player. They are much more convenient, than a trunk mounted changer.

It doesn't have to be the $300 Alpine (though they are nice). You have dozens of brands to choose from. A decent Pioneer model is only $126.

Nor do I have $126 to blow on unnecessary upgrades

I have a line converter hooked up with a legacy 600w amp and a kenwood 700w sub in a ported enclosure. It pounds pretty hard! But the bass hits :yourock: so hard its retarded so i think im going to take it out pretty soon.

I've never liked the sound produced with a line converter. It just muddies up the sound too much. Monster patch cables are the way to go.
