I was driving in Findlay, Ohio the other day, and I saw a pearlescent pink Deville. I am not that familiar with caddys, but I know it had the LED taillights, so it was only a few years old, or it could have been new? Anyways, I caught up with it and noticed that it had Mary Kay insignia on the lower parts of the front two doors. Then I got behind it at a light and noticed that it had a Northstar badge on the drivers side of the trunk. The badge had four triangles each pointing north, south, east, and west, with an "N" in the center. Next to that, the bage said Nothstar, and below that it read SUPERCHARGED, I think. It was an overcast day, and there was a reflection so I couldn't really make it out, but my friend agreed that it said SUPERCHARGED.

Has anyone seen or heard about these cars?

That would be a new Deville, due to the new style emblems. Mary Kay, is a mega large cosmetic company. They get common people to become thier sales reps. From what I hear, the top seller(s), each year I think, gets a new car, for free. It is painted pink, and has Mary Kay plastered all over it. They have been doing this, for what seems like forever. I have seen many mid '70s Lincolns, Thunderbirds, Crown Vics, etc.

Yea theres one by me it looks white then flips to pink has mary k stickers on the rear side windows. Supercharged northstar. always see this mafia italian lady driving it out by my grandparents house. i kinda like it i would drive it just take the stickers off.

mary kay

i worked at valvoline for a little while and a girl who was 23 came in driving them. they're not supercharged and technically not pink. when they go to the dealer they take the clea rcoat off and do a light coat of red before finishing. i think its kind of cheap considering its not even true pink

Pink Cadillac...

Where do people come up with this stuff?

They "remove the clearcoat and paint a light coat of red" to make the pink paint - jees, Where on earth did you pull that from?

Actually General Motors and Mary Kay Costmetics have had a union since 1968. The cars are NOT repainted at the dealers. Every Tuesday, at two of the GM plants that make the Cadillacs, is "Mary Kay Day". That's when the cars for the company are built. The paint on the cars (Now "Pale Pearlescent Pink") is a Mary Kay only color that is applied at the factory. The only time the cars are repainted is after their 2 year lease is up. Then GM must paint the vehicles (it doesn't matter what color, except not pink), before it sends them to auction.

Regarding the supercharged one you saw. Since the Supercharged Northstar engine only comes on the STS-V and XLR-V, then you would have been seeing a National Sales Director's car.

The pink Cadillac DTS is earned by Sales Directors. The National Sales Directors (the highest position in the sales force) are allowed to order any Cadillac that they desire.

i myself own a mary kay cadillac, the cars are rewarding to the top sells reps, they get to have the cars for two years at that time they have to return the car to mary kay, which is return to GM and they of course repaint the car a non pink color, or mary kay gives the sales rep who had that car the option to buy and keep the pink color on the condition that if the car is to be resold it has to be sold to a cadillac dealer, who has to have the car repainted in order to sell ( and no i do not sell mary kay products i was just lucky enough to buy a mary kay car that is still pink :shifty: )

yeah that is a smart comment, if you remove clear coat and paint a light coat of red, the car would be red not pink,to achieve the color it is actually white mixed with very little red
