Survey-Tire Sizes with 18 inch rims

Installed. First into the dealer at 8:00am, out at 3:00pm. WTF.

Total for labor and 4 wheel alignment came to over $600.

I think NOT. Particularly when they quoted me $250 for labor, plus the $90 alignment fee.

Service writer stated that he thought I only asked about the fronts, hence the $250 estimate. That didn't explain why they did the rears anyways without getting my permission and doubling the estimate price....especially when I was sitting 10 feet from the Service Writer the entire day.

After a brief, civil discussion..the bill was revised for the original estimate. Total including "shop supplies" and tax came to $360. If it were summer months, I would have done this myself. But right now, my time and knuckles are more valuable to me.

I've only driven it about 10 miles, but so far, so good. I cant tell ANY difference in ride quality. But then again, it's only been 10 miles over good roads...so we shall see.

Snapped a couple of pics, will try to post later.

Running the beforementioned 255/45-18's but haven't got the Eibach's yet so I'm still at stock hieght. I heard a rub once when loaded, pretty insignificant even on that one occasion. Hope the Eibachs don't lower it too much.......

Now THAT looks hot. The rims and tint REALLY set off that paint color.

I think you are going to get some rubbing if you drop it, even the one inch that Eibach Pro's offer. The combination of the 255/45 tire, along with what appears to be a fair amount of offset from those rims, could be an issue.

the rims and tint look GREAT on that LS though. Nice.

As an aside..I just got back from a 600 mile roundtrip in my LSE with the brand new Lincoln Sport Shocks, eibach pro kit springs, and 18 245-40 18 inch Sumitomo tires. I was expecting a fair amount of increased firmness/ride harshness, but was pleasantly suprised. Granted the roads were in good shape, but the ocassional highway dips at 90mph speeds were handled with ease/no rubbing/no harshness, and various tar strips and shallow potholes were handled with NO issues. The Eibach Pro kits and the stock Sport package shocks truly are a winning combination.

Hey I like that HALO-ANTENNA that you had mounted in your first picture. HAHAHAHAH!!! I just had too, couldn't resist the temptation. But really you got a great looking LS there. I do think that you might get a little rub with that offset also.
