Suspension Worries!!!

Ask the body shop if they'll give you a list of the parts you need, then Shoot a PM to TeamFord or Mrzeee and see what kid of deal they can get you.

check to see if the shop will be ok with you getting your own parts, since they make money on the parts the 'price' of the job may change if you bring your own parts in.

Depending on body work, that job should be fixable for under a grand. Like it has already been said, new lower control arm (or used part) and a shock. Put those parts on and get it aligned. It should be like new. If you have wheel and brake damage, that could add up, though. How does the driver's side get taken out when you swerve to avoid oncoming traffic? Did you pass the other car passenger side to passenger side?

without having the parts list - it's impossible to guess at a price - or what needs to be replaced. in the pic - even the streering arm looks bent...

But we all know repair places replace everything in area of damage to make the most money. I would guess under a G also way under.

well - that's a pretty general statement, they have to error on the side of safety and aviod returns - and you obiviously work on your own cars. How is he suppose to know what really needs to be replaced? He needs to find a shop he trusts and believe they are going to do a good job.

Us guessing over the internet what he needs to replace and how much it should cost from one blurry pic seems silly - no?

Of course. Thats why way up in post I posted that she(I think its a she. Why would a guy say "lil old me") find a nice local mechanic like me to fix it. There are guys like me in every town. And why would I not try to error on the cheaper side instead of the 3500 dollar side. I try to save people money not rob them. The person might take things I say and tell the peeps fixxing why don't you do this or that. Never hurts to talk.talk is cheap. NO?

We just have very little information to really help - and it's gonnabe hard for them to take "someone on the internet told me it should be way under a grand" and walk back into that shop.... with what little we know. With the parts list we 'may' be able to guess at the stuff that is unneccessary...

I agree with you on finding the right shop and building the relationship of trust. Towing it from place to place is the beating now....

Why do you pick one certain thing I say and twist it. I never said go in and say it should be under a grand. I mentioned many things like getting lower arm and shock/spring from boneyard to save money no need for new which every body shop will try to get. And yes I can tell alot about what is going to be needed but not everything. Its pretty simple to figure out what will be needed if front tire hits curb and brakes stuff. From working personally on my car I know whats there and whats not there. Also this is america last time I checked which means I'm free to say what I want. If peep takes it and runs with it cool. If they think I'm crazy and tell me to go pound ,so be it. I would rather give my 2 cent then sit by idle. Call me crazy. But I do agree with you of going over the work sheet on this.

Well look here guys there's no reason to argue over this situation. N every single 1 of u has made a great point. Trying to help out my sicking situation. N I do really appreicate every1 but don't fuss. Id really rather put together facts that I can take to a collison shop and chew them out on these seriously crazy prices they've throw my way. N like I said I agree with every1 point on this situation. I already have the list of parts and labor cost on every visible defect. N yes there are a number of things on the list I think I could get for a better price and make the car run as just as well as if it had brand new parts. The majority of that 3500 dollars I stated is mostly labor. Which should be ideal away due to business not personal. N right now im chillin with my lady and I don't have the list on hand but I will have those listed things posted asap so I can get more insight on wat should I do. Im open for opinions and willing to listen. N im still gonna check with the junkyards around memphis and check to see if they have the required parts and they prices so as soon as that info at hand it'll be posted as well as more pics. So until then guys lets stay positive and help me out this jacked up situation. So until then yall be cool and ill have all the infomation yall need to come up with a vedict then ill handle the rest with these scamming shops giving over.
