Sway bar bushing replacement

My sway bar bushing needs replacing and I am too cheap to pay for the whole new assembly that Ford recommends. Is there another bushing that will work? Maybe the Jag s type? Or is there a place where I can still by the pre 2003 bushings?

BTW it is on a 2000 Lincoln Ls, with the V8 and sport suspension.

Yep, the universal ones will work just fine and cost you about $25.

I went to Pep Boys and got them for cheap. Autozone probably carries them too.

Autozone sells universal Polyurethane sway bar bushings. I dont know if that was what wOBy was reffering to or not, but they would be a worthwhile upgrade IMO. And they would probably NEVER wear out again. Just measure your sway bar to find out what size you need.

On my 99 Continental one Linc dealer said 'shows whole thing" next dealer ordered them ,got next day. Did ask for me to caliper measure bar , 2 choices
