Sway Bar Replacement

Old thread I know....

Anyway, has there been any progress in finding aftermarket sway bars for our cars, front and rear? I want to tighten up the suspension a bit. What about a strut tower brace?

no aftermarket yet. anti-sway bars do more for adding/subtracting oversteer/understeer than overall 'tightening'.

the car already has a strut tower brace - it triangulates the top of the shocks to the center of the firewall - it's black and under the plastic cowl cover.

I hate the crappy design of the FoMoCo sway bar links, so i made my own. Check out the pic of them on my profile

You are absolutely correct on this! I have a '00 v6 MTX with the sport suspension. The dealer replaced my front sway bar under warranty a few years back and they used a non-sport sway bar. The next day I noticed it when driving home from work. The twisty road that I drive home was no fun as the car understeered. It took me two trips to the dealer complaining that they put in the wrong sway bar until the service tech finally listened to me. They replaced the bar again with the correct one for me.

The ride with the non sport sway bars is great, smooth and comfortable. But the sport bars give it better oversteer if that makes sense. I bought the car for the handling and I appreciate the faster steering better handling.
