System is in- with pics

When installing did you have enough clearance in the rear when you actually slid the unit in? I had some much wiring from 3 harness, gps, ipod, and blue tooth crap I had to literally push like hell to get the HU to sit semi flush. Just wondering..
dont worry, it was a pain in the @ss, i think we took it out a few times to restuff all of the wires so that it was not pressing out on the radio and leaving huge gaps.

the key is to stuff everything off to the sides, then move it in a couple of inches closer, then stuff a little more, then move, then stuff. after enough cussing, it'll go in.

Jake, I have the same box, and mounted my amps on the sides of the trunk wall near the back.

that one amp is huge, im pretty sure that it couldnt really fit in the corner so well and would have to stick out a good country mile

Jake, I have the same box, and mounted my amps on the sides of the trunk wall near the back. If you search, you should find the thread with pics. Josh (1LoudLS) did the amp and capacitor wiring. You don't really lose any trunk space, the amps are more accessible, and get plenty of ventilation.

The PC1400 is 22" and the PC4100 which will be replacing the PC450 is 24" so mounting them on the side would not be an option. Ventilation will not be a problem, I will post the finished pictures and you will see what I mean.

Great install!

What is on your airvent???

Universal holder for my EVO.

I really like/want that headunit.

I might end up selling the head unit- I think I'm going to stick a Viewsonic 7" tablet in its place. I am still working out the details but once I get them done I'll be asking $600 for the headunit shipped. I think that's a fair price.

That lightning is a sweet install.

Im seeing tablet installs being more and more common. One of my favorites is the ipad install in a expedition...it even has a motorized dock so the pad can be taken out when the vehicle is parked.

And of course it charges while being docked and is connected to an apple tv system that controls everything else in the vehicle for audio/video.
