Tail light tint/spray MASS

were around the Boston,Mass area can i get my tailights tinted. i want them sprayed but i want it perfect. ive seen peoples cars with glossy tailights. i want mine sprayed with gloss so they look just like the color of my car when theyre off(my cars black) does anyone know???

why dont you try a body shop? Thats where my friend went and they did a really good job. it only cost him 40 bucks.

i actually went to a body shop today and the painter told me theres no special paint for the lights its just the regular paint they use to paint cars....anyone else heard of that?

There was a guy at the bodyshop side of the dealership I worked at that was going to paint mine.. I wasn't quite sure how it would look so I chickend out.. he was going to paint both for $40.. He said all he does is use Clear Coat with black mixed in it.. I had seen his work on a couple of the detail shop guys cars and it looked great. So to answer your ?... Yes

If you are going to just black them out then I suggest getting a can of VHT niteshade and doing it yourself. It applies very easy and works great. Then take your taillights to your local body shop and they should clear coat them for you for about $20. So that's 10 dollars for the VHT and 20 dollars for the clear coat so that's 30 dollars total and you can do it all from start to finish in one day so no down time.

IMHO Im not a fan of the flat or matte tint. Ive used the VHT its crap and yes I clearcoated it afterwards.

I dont use VHT, I do spray them, they do come out with a gloss finish, custom tinting can be done (like designs or not tinted parts), and I do normally charge people for it.
