Taillight Tinter...

I have an extra set of tail lights that I wouldn't mind having tinted. I'm in on the group buy.
 
what does an extra set cost, also can someone tell me if its illegal in missouri, i had blackouts on my explorer and never got messed with soo...

can you make it any bigger? and you got any pics with the side markers tinted.... anybody got that done, and do you like it? does it mess up the lighting from it?

I have my markers blacked out, check out my garage.
 
I'm sending out my spare all red tail lights to Jons Tinted Tails tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out how dark I want to go with them. I definitely don't want dark but I want the tail lights to blend into the color of the car. He can do extra light, light, light-medium (probably what I'll do), medium, medium-dark and dark. Here's a couple of pics of my car. Any suggestions? Also, I will NOT be sending the two tone tail lights.

yeah light medium will work. u dont want to go to dark. and let me say that i LOVE your car. its soo well put together with all the aftermarket things youve done. LOVELY :), whats he charging you?
 
$95. Of course, I pay for shipping there and back which is much cheaper than he wanted. I can use my FedEx account and just include a return label and save about $15. He said he would start on them on Monday next week and I should have them back before the weekend. I plan to send him a set of headlights once I get the tails back. I want to see his work before I venture into the headlights.

And thanks for the compliments. I haven't updated any pictures because I'm waiting to complete a few things before I post new pics. I got a professional photographer (which is a good friend) that is going to take some cool photos.
 
I am in when does he want them, I have a little bit of tear down time?

Email him and let him know. He's got me on the books to start on Monday. If you get in quick and ship them today he can probably do yours at the same time. Also, I got an email from him today stating that he recommends a light/medium to medium tint for dark grey vehicles. Here is his email:

Ken,

On a grey car I would suggest a light/medium or medium tint. That will give
the back of the car a really nice classy contrast.

I sent mine into him last week and should get them back in the next few days. My car is Silver Birch so I went with the light tint to avoid being hassled. Jon seems very nice and always returns emails in a timely fashion. I'll let everyone know how they turn out.

All over it like a fat kid on candy! Thanks will be tearing into my baby tonight and sending them off to him tomorrow morning. I dont want super dark I went to his site and light/med seems to be a could pick for our cars. Thanks again! By the way are we still looking for a possible Aug 5th delivery date on my recent order?

My painter has been on vacation all week so I can't get anything painted until he gets back. I plan to take your bezels to him along with 5 other grilles to be painted then. If he does a quick turnaround I don't see a problem with it. However, it all depends the painter.

Contact Jon at the email above and ask him his opinion. I didn't want to go real dark and the tail lights be the focal point. I just wanted them dark enough to blend in with the rest of the car. Of course, if you have a black LS then going dark may look best.
