Well it been 48 hours the problem seem to be getting wrost by the day,
before it would start when turn on the ac, and now it starts the when i start up the car. it sounds like a air vent flap that opens and closes, i need some good advise on this issue.

Well, that would be better described as a banging rather than a taping, no?
On your 97 TC that might be the Blend Door Actuator broken, allowing the door to flap around.

Typically that would also include undesirable airflow temperatures.

thanks i will check that out, I have noticed it is come from inside the dashborad inside of the big black ac box behide the glove box. it now starts taping once the car is started. and will not go away it does slow down when i brake hard. i dont know what this tapping is it sound like a ticking bomb. and it is geting on my nerves.

What I just found out the the issue is, yesterday going home I turned on the heater and put the temp to 90 and it blow only outside air no heat. turn on the ac and it would blow cold. all this time while still tap, do you guy thing to the temp silanido.

So, does this mean you did not run the diagnosis procedure that 95ltc posted?

I'm guessing Blend Door Actuator however, we may never know without the test results

:)

Just did test... you'll right on... error 024 fault in blend door cali during self test.... so who know to to fix this issue????

It's not a fun job.. one part is better done with a buddy helping.

Basically it's like this;
Loosen steering column, so it can move down a bit
Loosen gauge cluster so it can move a bit out of the way
Disconnect all the dashboard fasteners

Get your buddy :)

Pull back the dashboard to gain access to the BDA (blend door actuator)
Curse allot while removing the Actuator :)

Reverse all that to have a car again :)

Our friends at LincolnsOnline have written this process up:
