The Love is GONE!!!!

Everyone I know laughs at me/rags on me because I'm so particular about cars. I'm never happy with whatever car I have- there's always some issue, something is making a funny sound, a creak where there shouldn't be, just always something.

I'm trying to relax and not get so worked up over every little thing (like a broken heated seat) because it's still a badass car that is super cool to drive. I was just driving a loaner Mazda 3 from the dealer while my car got worked on, I had it for 5 days.

When I got back into my LS today it was love all over again. I think I'm gonna start borrowing crappy little cars once in a while so I don't lose sight of how nice a car like the LS really is compared to most.

Don't Do It

I am a newbie; just a little ole forensic accountant in Coral, Springs, Florida but would hate not seeing your posts.

I know that doesn't mean :q:q:q:q but long story short, your input here is appreciated so don't sell the car...

+1. I went for a drive by myself today in my LS. Haven't drove it much more then a few miles here and there since last spring accept when I moved but getting on the highway myself and then hitting up a back road or two made me really love my car and get that "I just purchased it" feel again.

Sully, Too bad you weren't living down here still I could put a sticker on for you, and run it through the emission machine!

I was talking to the Mrs last night and she and I are convinced its because I'm not really getting anywhere with the car. I keep doing all this work just to bring her back to where she was before I parked her for the winter. I did get to take her out for a spin yesterday, but I dont even have a radio in her. My wheels got coated in brake rust. Soon progress will be made and I should be back in the saddle again as Aerosmith would say.

I have had the same feelings about my Mark VIII for a while. It's somewhat soul destroying when you make progress, then a bunch of things go wrong - kinda' overwhelming. I have since taken Ford nut's advice onboard - when doing a project, try to do a little each day. Nothing worse than procrastinating for a while, to then be met with a daunting task... Then you can't remember where all the nuts, bolts and washers went etc.

yeah thats true. Mine's been on jack stands for a while, or atleast parked. I am working on getting the bottle and mounts back in the trunk today as well as redoing the diamond plating under the battery and bottle for show. Hopefully as I start getting her back in fighting shape, she'll make my peepee hard all over again!
