No surprise there. Bush had done extrordinarily bad in the first debate and even Repulicans were down on him for that. If it wasn't during the debate period, the conclusions may have been different, don't you think?

How and why is this a surprise? Bush II and crew told people what they wanted to hear and made all the right promises (lies) “Washinton outsider “, “not a lifetime politician”, “no nation building”, we all know the list goes on.
Who knew how extremist his fundamental Christian belief is and how this would drive him and his people into changing laws, and history (these are the same people that accuse others of revisionist history)?
What is happening to civil rights?
Why are they ignoring and or abusing the Bill of Rights?
Is the First Amendment still attached? It sure looks we’re being legislated into following his God!
How about the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Ninth Amendments? The Patriot Act has transformed us to the USSR of last century.
Maybe seams slightly ridiculous but that is also how today’s political machine operates, no need to let the truth get in your way. Say it often! Say it with convection! Send your subordinates out to repeat the accusation with that same conviction! Hold your news event (revival) and toss those and any other “massages?” to your brain washed zealots (get’em chanting these same untruths) and by divine right this will become the truth!
Remember when asked deny, deny, deny and do your best to feign indigent that some lesser being could question your integrity. Label any non zealot and especially those with independent thought the label is not as important as tone (wrinkle your face like someone farted and left it for you) in which it’s delivered. At this point your goal is to discredit and dehumanize this lesser being so your zealots know to ignore history, and any creditably issues because you are a man of god (chosen).
And Never, Never let truth get in the way!!!
