The more things I fix... the more that break, lol

Sorry Alan, you're a nice guy..but that is where it ends..sorry to say.

I have no problem with you..personally..but TRUTH of the matter is..there IS a better TC manufacturer.

One that doesnt have to run around defending themselves/telling people they dont know what they are talking about.. blah blah blah.

Circle D products speak for themselves..that's pretty cut and dry.

P.S. KustomizingKid does know what he's talking about...he's speaking from a personal experience he had with one of his friends cars...
HAD that issue been resolved and corrected.. KustomizingKid would probably be saying DirtyD0G ALL THE WAY!!!

but the issue wasn't resolved.. hence KustomizingKids post.

Selling products on the internet is a double edged sword, it only takes a couple of peoples bad experiences.. or even PERCEIVED bad experiences and you find yourself in the situation you are in now.."defending your products".

again, I have no cross to bear with you alan..but my experience is.
Circle D has the best.. anything else is.. "not the best".

With that said.. TAKE CARE of StangMan.

Stangman is good people, and deserves to be taken care of..with that said.
THANKS for helping him.

Only solution is provide a good product... if it is good word of mouth will drive customers to your door. If it's not good... you'll get a few strays from time to time but business will get slow.

If someone had a bad experience they have the right to say so.

In my little small town the best advertisement is word of mouth.. we all know who to stay away from.

I can tell you if the converter was returned to me I took care of it. It seems all the problems exist when they were sold by someone else....Someone who competes with me for business and follows me around bashing me.
Your comments are completely over the top. There was no such thing as a 4r70w when I was in high school. I haven't been in high school since 1992. The first year for a 4r70w was 1993 in the markVIII. If the only place you read is on a forum that someone else who stalks me pays to be a vendor of and is protected then it is no wonder you think the way you do.
I'm sure Stangman has seen what goes into this stuff and knows I know my way around these things. He was my customer and if there are any problems they will be handled. The rest of this is pointless. People love to say bad things.
The old rule is you can do 100 jobs that go great and one that doesn't and more people will hear about the bad one than the good ones.
Alan

I just find it quite ODD that your "FIRST POST" on LVC was because KustomizingKid posted something "non flattering" about your products.

and my comments being "over the top" is BS.

Just because there was NO 4r70w when you were in highschool is irrelevant.

my statement still stands true.. Circle D was making TC's when YOU were in highschool.. that is a plain and simple TRUE fact..yet you want to "split hairs" about "what transmissions weren't build when you were in highschool".

I agree with your statement about 100 good jobs, versus ONE BAD JOB.
that is correct.. you might do 100 things RIGHT, but it only takes ONE WRONG thing to "cut your throat".

And you'll notice that I used the word "PERCEIVED" in my reference to your bad job...YET your on the defense like I said you actually DID do a bad job.
who know's.. maybe you did or didn't.. my point was PERCEIVED bad job.

If you dont like people "disagreeing" with you.. RUN back to TCCOA and give william some more parts so he'll delete posts that aren't flattering to your business.
you wont find that kind of "moderation" here on LVC.

KK is this true... did the TC get sent back to DD?
what did he do?
Blame the tuner?
Blame the trans?
Blame the purchaser..

ALL of the above?

Again alan welcome to LVC, its odd that you "just magically appeared".
FEEL free to pull up a chair and hang around.
BUT.. dont expect abuch of "leg humping lemmings" to sing praise for your products... if you expect THAT.. LVC is the wrong site for you sir.

So by your statement here.. your TC's ONLY have problems when "someone else" sells them?

you say you sell them to competitors who then sell them to people that then have problems with them..and bash you?

hmmmmmmm that doesnt make sense... but...M'kay.

Specifically 2 competitors who are right by each other working in the same garage. It didn't start until we quit doing business either. I sell to many vendors directly and this problem doesn't exist with them. I just looked into the supposed failure from "his friend". That unit was spotless on the inside and I even sent the guy pictures of it as soon as I cut it open. His problem was somewhere else. I messaged him and told him what was going on. I won't drag him through the mud with this but I can tell you without a doubt there was no problem in that converter. I did inspect it and reassemble it for free for the guy. He also was never my customer, he bought from the same person that all of the "failures" came from.

I don't expect leg humping. Realistically lincolns and caddys aren't cars many people do performance mods to. I have read on this forum many times, but usually the questions asked around here aren't much with the stuff I do.
I'm not sure exactly who KK is talking about. I do know that the guy who lives near him who bought a converter from someone else ( the same person that all supposed failures were sold through) complained that he had a problem with 2nd gear and it was supposed to be a bad converter. The converter was sent to me and I cut it open and inspected it for him. I immediately took pictures of everything which I pm'd to him and told him his problem was elsewhere. I put the converter back together at no cost and have not heard anymore about it. I spoke to him on the phone mostly about it so I don't have in print exactly what the problem was. I know it wasn't in the converter. I can post the pictures if needed. If this is the unit claimed to be bad I will go post pictures on his parent forum as well.

meh... I'm a pretty humble guy.. but I dont take too kindly to "folks that aint from around here" kicking our "local townfolk in the nuts".

Alan should definatley be able to address this issue, he indeed knows his way around the 4r70W..Did you ask him?

DirtyD0g you'll notice that I actually tried to give you the benefit of the doubt..in the first place..

You are certainly confused. I don't ask for or expect any protection. Posts get deleted when they turn into flame wars. When things stay with the facts there are not problems. Ask around over there and you will find there are many people very happy with my products. Sorry if I double posted I didn't realize I was being moderated.
I'm not here to insult anyone it isn't my way. At some point you have to access the things you say and do and ask yourself what would Jesus do. I try my best to live by that. Stangman refered me to this site is why I just showed up.
Alan

OMG.. your gonna pull the JESUS card??..
that might work on mark8.org..which is why I dont visit that site anymore.

please dont question my religious beliefs or my relationship with Jesus.

stick to the conversation at hand... or start a new thread for Christs sake...(pun intended)

It's worth a try.... ;)

well it might have worked.. had I not mentioned it on a public message board.

I probably screwed up your opportunity..sorry my bad.

maybe not though.. GO FOR IT!

Ya. Lost me too on that one. lol

meh he uses that for his "ace in the hole"..to try and sway "sheeples" opinions.

ALAN.. JESUS is NOT a TRUMP CARD to be played when you are down on chips.

Dont insult the communities intelligence nor jesus in such a manner.

speaking of stangman, aren't you supposed to be "racking and checking out" his car, rather than trying to protect your self perceived reputation on the inTARweb.

I can assure you.. a positive post by stangman saying "ALAN FIXED MY CAR" will serve you MUCH better than you...playing poker with your Jesus cards and debating your "self worth" on the web.

Dontcha think?

As soon as my uncles windstar is off the lift we can check it out.
Alan

how long does it take to get a winstar off the lift?

seriously alan, even if there is nothing that "YOU DID" to cause his issue..
If you think or SAW a contaminated ABS sensor.. it wouldn't have been THAT difficult to hit it with a shot of brakekleen.. huh?

it's called a "value added service"...

rather than in your typical fashion of "pointing fingers" at the car before you've taken a second look at it?

it seems your very quick to point at other suspect areas of the car rather than tell the customer "bring it back and I"ll check it out".

IF you thought that ABS sensor was contaminated, how hard would it have been to "clean it".....

Just think.. if you had taken this 2 minute extra step..this post would have never occurred...
VALUE ADDED SERVICE...it's not just a concept.

Why would I want this post deleted. It shows what I have been saying all along. Some people love to point the finger of shame even when they don't know what they are talking about. The conspiracy theories are down right ignorant.

VALUE ADDED SERVICE...it's not just a concept.

This windstar will take a couple more days. I have the subframe and transmission still out of it. It won't roll.
How hard would it be to clean? I don't know how hard is it to get a 1/2 inch of dried up gooey gear oil off the complete underside of the car. It doesn't just wipe off with a rag. We had already agreed to look at that later. I topped the diff off for him and left it at that. That is what He and I discussed. I did get aggrivated after spending 2 hours attempting to get a subframe bolt out that is just utterly seized in the bushing. I drilled a hole in th frame and heated the plate, but the bolt still wouldn't come out. I will have to remove the entire subframe if spending a few weeks soaking it with PB blaster doesn't loosen it up. We already knew it was coming back for that soon.
Value service? Again you don't have any clue what went on. I had to completely remove the bumper to put a cooler in this thing. I did that for virtually nothing because I told him I would. I corrected many little issues for him on the car. So a sensor is dirty don't turn it into something it is not.
Take your value service theories to a shop and see where it gets you. You have to draw the line somewhere. I already had a few extra hours in the car with "value service" . He can feel free to stop by anytime and I will look at the sensors with or without the lift. I was hoping to try to get the bolt out when we lift it up.
Alan

Alan

yet another "pot shot" at a "customers" car?
I didn't ask for you to detail the underside of his car.

we're talking about a probably 2 square inch area THE ABS sensor that you already said "has goo on it".

I only asked that IF you saw it, hell why not clean it off.

HAD you done so.. again.. this whole thread never would have occurred...that's all I'm sayin'.
