So here's my almost finished '96.

I got it for $3k with only 63k miles on it. Had a tune-up done, new rotors and calipers put on, a new head unit installed by me, and new wheels and tires added. She's coming along great I think.

Great choice on the stereo, I had to do a double take cause it looks factory.

Are your corners and tails tinted? What did you use, the VHT?

One slight criticism. It could use a drop.

How much was the head unit?

Looks good. I dont think Ive ever seen a set of chome snowflakes on a mark before. Looks good.

Well it does need MOAR power. Probably a fuel pump too. A drop is also under consideration.

I got the head unit for $130 on Ebay but it did take some cutting to get it in there right, but it's in and working. There's some static and the occasional popping noise even when the power is cut so I suspect a bad ground or something.

The light tints are actually film. The taillight was done by Car Connection in Meriden, CT and I did the turn signals with cheapo film from Autozone. The cheapo film will probably peel but it's a 5 minute application that I can peel off if I get a ticket. The taillights came out perfect and with a lifetime warranty.

For now I'm going to chill on the car while I save up for the go-fast goodies. I'm thinking I'll put together a $2k budget and just go at it.

Without offending you I think the car looks better with the stock wheels. I know it is personal opinion I was just giving mine. How much of a drop were you looking at ? I would probably think differently after the drop.

That looks pretty damn clean...

And you need to drop it!

chrome snowflakes are very hard to come by, they were offered though from ford in chrome, thats probably only the 3rd set i ever saw. i would rock snowflakes all day long in chrome they look great chrome. easier to clean too!

I'll see what I can do about the chrome snowflakes. They were actually chromed by the original owner, who didn't clean the inside thoroughly. They look great from 15 feet, but they look like garbage any closer than 10 feet away. I'll take some more pics of them soon though.

I'm thinking about a 1-1.5" drop, nothing major so I can maintain ride quality. Is there any cheater way to drop the car without a Ray's Switch? I'm going to attempt a photo shoot tomorrow and I know the car would look better lowered.

Grab the left side of your grill and gently pull it out towards you. It should snap back into place. Gently. Or you can remove the brow and go in from behind.
