Haha, yep, it's me! I didn't know you were the same Lux from FvC either! I either didn't know or forgot you had a Mark VIII now. I remember you having Mark VII's, and doing the 5-speed swaps (right?). I never did get to race that guy. It was a week or two after he agreed to race me, he came back and told me I was right and he didn't have a DOHC and he didn't want to race anymore.

I put the tremec tko600 5 speed in my old 90 lsc, i parted that car out to buy the 97 blk/blk LSC i picked up with 54,000 miles..and the rest is history (see sig)

Haha, well looking at your sig, it looks like you've certainly come a long way from stock with your Mark! I do remember you talking about wanting to get one back then. And I remember you on there, both as LuxurySportCoupe and Lux. It seems like you changed it to Lux not too long before I quit getting on there (It wasn't a conscious decision to stop going there- it was just a gradual thing I guess). I was looking at the stats on my "Custom72Continental" and it says the last time I was on was February, 2008. I'm pretty sure I made a new SN with some variation of "Maverick" that I used after that, but I don't remember lol. I didn't realize I'd started my Custom72Continental SN back in 2003. It's hard to imagine FvC being dead now after it was always so active back then.

Actually, I just found my Maverick name on there. Apparently, I was on there and made a handful of posts in July-August of last year when I bought my Mark VIII seats and went to look at buying a Mark. I totally forgot all about that.

I had people try to get in or hail me down 3 times. Some handicapped girl at the college of staten island got all bent out of shape (no pun intended) when I drope past her to pick up my wife.

I'm back around now and brought the Lincoln out after a nice long nap, looking for another vehicle thats good for the baby and I'd like to keep the miles down, especially since I keep Modding it. I'm gonna be a dad soon, time flies!

With the Marauder you get two more doors, higher rear gears, a couple more HP, almost 400lbs more curb weight, and a solid axle instead of IRS.

Lol, yep, time certainly does fly! And a big congratulations on the baby! :Beer I have a Jaguar Vanden Plas now, but it's no Mark VIII. I bought it back in 07 because I got a deal on it and it had low miles. My plan was to make it my daily driver so I could get into some serious mods on the Mark, but then the Mark was wrecked about a year later, so that didn't work out lol. Just looking forward to getting back in another Mark VIII now.

Thanks man! I like the styling on the newer xj8's. Sucks to hear about your Mark, mine got wrecked and it sat for 8 months until I sent it to the body shop, had it fixed, then threw on new wheels, tires, and big brakes. Hope to see you back in a Mark, the are great cars.
