So I have a little extra left from my accident money and am thinking of getting the Marauder TC and doing the J-mod on my car. I may not have enough so I need to source stuff on the cheap. I know for my seperator plates, gasket and filter that Max will be my best bet and I will call him to see what the TC would run but for some stuff like that he isnt cheaper.
Whats the cheapest place for one?
I just read a dozen different TC threads and it seems that the Marauder TC would be my best bet. I dont want it to be agressive and just want a little higher stall. Also dont want to spend a fortune on some fancy one that may be more then I need.
Also need it to be able to handle 400ish rwhp for possiable future upgrades.

Thanks LVC, you guys have been great with help in modding my baby. Shes really comming along nicely. :)

I wouldnt do a marauder converter if your not having issues with your stocker. Most people will tell you not to get a high stall on a DD. I personally dont like the harder shifts with the jmod on a DD, but I do like it on my LSC. My shifts are perfect with my tuner now on the CE.

3500 stall with a shift kit. FTW! Dailydriven for three years hell yeah!!!!

Save your self some money and drill your existing plates, its easy to do just take your time on hole location. Go for the 450 HP setup. I would wait on the TC until you get your power adder and rear gears spec't out. Centrifugals like loose converters, Twin Screws don't need it. Better to get a Trans cooler on board.

Yeah I was planning on doing just that. I didnt mean seperator plates as I ment seperator gaskets. Also already have my 3.73's in the car AND I know what kind of power adder I will be doing. It will be a positive displacement setup.

2800 stall shift kit 410 gears diablo chip ( tranny cooler). worked great for me and underdrive pully

With the positive displacement you will not need a loose converter. I am using the Marauder T/C with 3:73 gears. You have all the Torque you can handle right from idle, so don't kill yourself on tall gears (numerically) and loose T/C's.

Where did you get your strut tower brace from? Must have! *drools*

And yeah I am mimicking your setup kinda. One of them other threads where I saw your post and mods I knew thats about what I wanted. :)

Circle D is the nicest place to live in bastrop..AND is the best Torque Convertors ON THE PLANET..hands down.

CircleD FTW

Id search forums for someone selling a used marauder converter or a mach 1. I almost picked one up for $100 with 22k on it guy upgraded to a higher stall. But I lost my job and had to forget that and I sold my 02 mustang trans. I hope to pick up a trans and converter this summer.
When I had my stang I had a 302 stroker, lentech aode strip terminator trans, 3.73 and a 3500 rpm stall I loved it but don't have that $ anymore

Don't waste your time on the Marauder TC IMHO. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

When you are ready call Circle D

The only thing I don't get is why you would trade one converter for another with no change in stall... that is dumb...

They came from Bill at SC.

For what it is worth...

I bought a reman Marauder TC from Roadrunner that is rated at 3200 and it is one of the best things I ever did for my car. I very much prefer the way the transmission delivers power now versus the way it used to.

Well the TC is on hold. Saw something shiney.
