any where from 300 to 400 for parts and if you can do the work your self thats great

My understanding that to change the insides of the pumpkin is too critical & needs to be done by a trained axle mechanic? Able to follow instructions, is it possible for the bright home do it yourselfer to do it? Any detailed postings? Ed, I think?

I did it my self along with the help of my step dad, you just need to get the backlash right and stuff, I had all the paper work to do it step by step

almost a second, look I was running 15.0 to 15.3s now im at 14.2 to 14.4
My buddy got a mark because of me and he bought some UD pullies and we raced and I creamed him, it makes a huge diff it might not seem to big but stock againt just 4.10s is murder

are you serious , all you did was put 4.10's in and it went that much quicker
damn i was hoping for a few tenths

For running on the street they are the bomb. You will definitely lose on the top end though. IMHO. 4.10's and a shift kit make the Mark a pretty decent stock street car. You'll be unhappy if you do lots of freeway driving however. Again, IMHO.

i'm more concerned with drag racing than going 150, hell if i had them laying around i would have put 4.56's in it ....lol

Yeah the launches rip, I wouldnt trade the 4.10's for the world. DO NOT fear the gear especially on the highway. I get 26.5/27 mpg at 65 and can do 150 mph all day.

Plus the LAUNCHES!! MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm

you probly thinking well brad and gene have alot of stuff done to make it hook like that, well gene does, I only have gears and exhaust and it was on 225/60/16 tires that can be bought at discount tire for around 70 bucks I get them really really cheap (friend works there) thats why I buy them plus they seem to last forever, anyways that should prove to you that its all in the gear, quit asking all the dumb as hell question about buying 410s.

Im going compare the gears to a hot summer day and a cool swimming pool

Sure its nice to dip your feet in the water but the real fun is jumping in and taking the dive. thats the best way I can put

everyone, not really you but the people saying I need 355s what the hell dont even waste your time or 373s they are ok but you got a 4000+ pound car you need to get it moving. look thru any lincoln fourm everyone always ask whats better, whos is faster, whats your MPG and do you think this lump is a tumor, gesssh just buy what you want but 410s are better and Im saying this in advance, I TOLD YOU SO

ok , i agree , if you are going to do the job , do it once

i was just curious how much of an et differance it was , i race my car alot , so as soon as i get some time slips from the gear swap i will post them
i was going to go to the nmra race at maple grove this weekend , but now i think i will install the gears this week end fill a bottle and go to atco next week

It's the paper work that I need before I go foward. If there is a source please advise I'll go from there. Thanks, Ed :wrench

I race my car alot, 410 have help a billion times, I also have some NOS I can use which I will use very soon, Im only running the 75 shot but im hoping for low to mid 13s. I also wish the best of luck to you but you wont need luck with 410s :Beer

Low to mid 13's??????? You better be LOW 13's or better. Matt T here on the board in the heat and humidity went 12.81 at 106!!! With just our chip, maf and gears.

... and spray?! :nos:

What NOS kit are you guys running? I was thinking of putting in gears but then I thought for less money I can get nitrous and just spray a safe 75 shot. I already have the Walbro 255 I would just need to reburn my chip and get rid of the timing advance.
