I'm up in the air about what % tint I want. 35% is the legal limit in my state (KS), thats seems to high. I would like 20%, but I don't want a hassle from the law.

Can you guys attach some pictures of different tint %'s.

This is 20% which is illegal in MD but I have never had problems, knock on wood.

wow 35% on the windshield?!? I don't think I would be able to see through that at night, let alone the problems with police. Can't wait to see the pics
 
yeah Im kinda worried about the cops too but I have a couple of friends and IF and only IF you get it done buy someone who knows what they are doing It will be hard to tell that it is there (at a glance) also Im going to leave the strip across the top so it will contrast it a little more .... Thursday Im off so If my guy has an oping I will get it done 80$ (kinda high but he is DAMN GOOD) he did the ls and its flawless (other than the pass window were POP a LOCK scratched the hell out of it (I somehow locked the keys in it while it was running DUMBA$$)

I could be wrong but I believe the percentage is the amount of light let through. So 35% would be letting more light through then 20% etc. I could be wrong though

This is the % of light it allows thru the glass 5% only 5 percent of the light will shine thru .... If you ever have had the luck of running into a cop how has the little thing they slide over your window and shine a light thru and try and read something on the other side thats how it works (never got to see this KNOCK ON WOOD) so hope that clears it up for you
 
I love 5% aka limo tint for those who didn't know I just love it b/c it practicly having black windows but you see can out of it though. I'm still dening if I want 5% all around or just on the back and rear side windows.

I'm in KC, MO and I am at 5% all the way around.. have yet to have a problem *i work up north off antioch/vivion so i see KC cops too*, live out in lees summit neer independence and blue springs, so i see alot of cops and have yet to have any troubles. I think it's more along the lines of if you get pulled over and piss the cop off they will ticket you for it, but they wont really just pull you over for the tint..

Here is my ride, I live in Ohio and the law is dark in the rear and back two windows only and 50% up front. Where I live is notorious for picking you up with too dark of windows. I have had several friends get ticketed and were ordered to have it removed and show up to court with the papers saying it was removed by a professional. With that said I went with the law and u can hardle tell the difference. 35% in the back windows 50% on the front.

i was wondering someone told me that the smokey tint you know the ones you see every now and then
that isnt leagle in ohio do you know if thats true
 
20%, and no one seems to care about it. The difference between 35 and 20 is very little, and without testing it, a cop probably won't see a difference.

RIGHT, and when I get pulled over and fined and court ordered to remove it I will send the bill to your house. I wouldnt risk it especially if u like drink a few beers and stay out all the night thats just a d@mn good reason for them to pull you over.

I just had mine done in here in the Cleveland area this week. The shop that did it says you can go dark in the back, but the front door windows need to be 35% to be legal. So I did 20 in back and 35 in front. You can actually see inside pretty easy with the 35. The 20 is a bit harder too look thru in the back. I guess if you don't give the cops a reason to pull you over, it's cool.

I'm thinking of doing 50% on the front windows...do you have any better pics...is it worth it?
 
umm 50%? what's the point, that's pretty much clear. do atleast 20% or it's a total waste.. I suggest 5% but that's just me.

I think its worth it seeing, I have seen 3 of my good friends ticketed and court ordered to remove there window tint. Here are a few pics as of this morning.
