Tire Size for 20'' rims

Are you concerned about the added weight and the negative effects on handeling and brakes?

Like I said.. You sometimes have to sacrifice looks for performance.. Added unsprung weight will add stress to the suspension components and also the brakes needed to slow those heavy b@stards down.. IMO, most of the stock stuff will handle aftermarket wheels.. The suspension and brake components will wear out faster than normal but I would say a rate of maybe 125-150%.. If your easy and WATCH HOW YOU DRIVE!

I'm running an 8.5 wide wheel with a 245/35/20 tire. +35 offset on the wheel. No rubbing unless I "really" bottom it out on the interstate at high speeds.

I usually don't post pics but here is what my 245/35/20 looks like. Hope this helps give you a bit of perspective.

IMO.....This is the one that has 196,900 miles on it. All paint is original except the front and rear bumper. LSE wing is on and painted.....as of 5pm Wednesday. :)

wow awesome bike dude! goes great with the car

Is that ridin solo?

We got 245/30's on now, but majorly bent a rim, after getting it straightened it feels like that tire may have separated a belt so tomorrow I'm probably puttin new tires on the car and would like to go as big as possible without rubbing when 2 adults r ridin in the car. Would like to put some 245\40's or 255\35's if possible otherwise a 35 series it is. Any quick advise is appreciated as always from u guys.
just like jolinc

Where does it actually match the contact at when it rubs?

Up front at full lock on the inside edge of the tire. You can heat up the fender liner and fix it. I usually rub the inside edge of the front tire on big bumps too. I've only rubbed the rear tires a few times so I can't tell you where. I can tell you with the offset of the Sentas it's really close to the rear fender lip.

Good to know. Thanks guys. We r postponing our tire purchase for alittle bit. When she got home w the car yesterday, I checked out the vibes and its in the wheel, which is good cuz its cheaper than a set of tires. I was just all geared up for new tires and im kinda tired of messin w this bent wheel. Ill start a new thread soon pertaining to u guyz' opinions on the model tires everyone is runnin. Thanks again guyz
