I'm pretty po'd right now. I am not into deleting or locking threads. You guys need to realize how ridiculous it looks to an observer who clicks in and sees this back and forth stuff.

Stick to the issues. Fight hard but fight fair.

For the new guys...I appreciate you being here and respect your right to voice opinions but we stay out of the personal stuff. I don't care who has what, where, when, why or how long.

I do care that our liberal and conservative brethern have their say. Both sides bring something to the table so it pays to listen to all points of view.

OK. Let's have fun here. We are not setting US policy and this place is looking more and more like the US Senate. Eeeek.

In respect to this thread I was asked by the poster to back away, and I did, yet the mad dogs had to have their way. I can't help it if they're jealous. I merely responded to what I thought was an inane post by Mr. Wilson.

To say I was a little disturbed by the developments on both sides would be an understatement.

I think that all libs should drive the econo-box 4 bangers that get 30 mpg and all us conservatives should be driving all the big, luxo v-8 barges that get 16 mpg. Averaged together we'd get 22 which is about the national average anyway. That way the libs can save the world while we get to enjoy it.:Beer

Too many skeletons in this conservative's closet. Will never go there but I wouldn't mind pulling strings behind the scene. I am pretty much into the GOP movement and I like to think I've had my hand in the recent (10 years) successes. After all, we did get an 'idiot' like GWB elected, not once, but twice, and with Jeb as VP in 2008, who knows, maybe 3 Bushes will be the charm.
 
I agree with republicans on some issues, such as gun control, but I would definitely consider myself liberal. I would own a gun, but would never drive a Volvo, or a Saab. I drive a Mark VIII, and my last car was an Eldorado, and before that I drove an Audi. Does that make me a conservative democrat, or a liberal republican. Who cares? I agree with Barry that this thread makes no sense, trying to ask whether a Particular type of Lincoln is a republican car doesn't make any sense, to me at least. Of course a lot of things don't make sense to me, like George Bush attempting to speak. But I don't think that we should call anyone stupid for starting the thread. If it bothered me that much, I wouldn't have read and/or posted in the thread.
 
I never said that the originator of the post was stupid. I said the post was stupid.

I've done and said stupid things. Most people have been real quick to point them out.

I still say that it makes no sense whatsoever to assign a political viewpoint to a type or make of car. It really is absurd.
