Track Etiquette and helpful suggestions

Your 1/4 Mile ET is 15.98 seconds computed from your vehicle 1/8th ET of 10.25 seconds.
Your 1/4 Mile MPH is 86.80 MPH computed from your vehicle 1/8th MPH of 70 MPH.

well that sucks. arnt most stock marks faster then that.

@mygreat8 the track is a a few miles from my house. its actually right next to the LKQ thats out here in clearwater. also nope the headers have not been installed yet. I still need to get my cats and my pipes and my mufflers first. i got side tracked with a need for tires.

this is the conversion i got
Your 1/4 Mile ET is 16.00 seconds computed from your vehicle 1/8th ET of 10.2569 seconds.
Your 1/4 Mile MPH is 86.87 MPH computed from your vehicle 1/8th MPH of 70.06 MP

I think those estimates are junk tho. because the same calculator used to do it by 60' time and 330' time gave some out ragious numbers that didnt fall in line with the rest of my ticket.

60 Foot 2.4236
330 Foot 7.00
660 Foot 11.00
660 MPH 61.78
1000 Foot 14.47
1/4 Mile ET 17.44
1/4 Mile MPH 75.99

and

60 Foot 2.35
330 Foot 6.7781
660 Foot 10.65
660 MPH 63.81
1000 Foot 14.01
1/4 Mile ET 16.88
1/4 Mile MPH 78.49

That 10.25 pass really would have run out to about a 16-flat 1/4 mile pass. The rule of thumb is to multiply the 1/8 mile E.T. by 1.56 to get the 1/4 mile E.T., and most drag racing calculators will show similar results. Get that 60' time to drop, and it'll make a BIG improvement. Also, that 110 race fuel is hurting you more than helping.

Like racecougar said the 110 is a no no if you're not tuned for it
So next time you will only go faster.

yea probably i tried to "water" it down some with 90 hoping to hit around 95 oct or so. but meh. it was still fun. i do believe the estimated time around 15.9-16 is accurate. I was looking through a bunch of threads with slips and seen several that were damn near spot on to mine with qtr mile results as well.

im hoping if i movie my shift points up 1-3mph and take a look at what options i have open on my tuner maybe i can get some better results. its just kind of sad to think ive got some okay mods that just be helping yet im still only as fast as stock. I know experiance is a big factor too. I am most certainly going to have to learn how to launch the car and other things like that as well. I think the best thing that came from my time at the track was one i went out and did it and it was a ton of fun and two i now have a slip to start comparing to in order to make adjustments. I also know the weight isnt helping either :)

Absolutely. Better E.T.'s come with more seat time. Run the lowest octane fuel that doesn't cause detonation. If you're tuned for 93 octane, run 93 octane, etc.

Yea ill do that next time. I am tuned for 91. i was stupid when i orded my tune. i was like whats the gas station got. oh yea 91 and then i realized it was just that one station in the area that has 91. so i gota go out of my way to get it now :) i should have my exhaust done in th next couple of months ill be getting a new tune then to compensate for the headers and exhaust ill make sure to get a 93 oct tune at that time.
